Ethical implications of neuroenhacement are discussed. In particular, possible advantages the participants of a research study can benefit from are taken into account. Even though the study is aimed at empowering participants' skills in a given domain, the researchers have to pay attention to the effects that the intervention can produce on self-conceptions, since the belief that improvements are generated only by external factors rather than personal engagement might be indirectly elicited.

Abstract
Ethical implications of neuroenhacement are discussed. In particular, possible advantages the participants of a research study can benefit from are taken into account. Even though the study is aimed at empowering participants' skills in a given domain, the researchers have to pay attention to the effects that the intervention can produce on self-conceptions, since the belief that improvements are generated only by external factors rather than personal engagement might be indirectly elicited.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
