This review presents Dancette's study on the Analytical Dictionary of Globalization and Labour (DAMT) developed by CRIMT in English, Spanish and French. It comprises 6000 terms, with attention to the world of professional translators in the domain of globalization. The widespread use of English shows how direct loan words have become part of a shared language of globalization, but the rapid development of practices results in a high terminological creativity that translators are expected to be familiar with. Part of the discussion is dedicated to translation pitfalls, and to the methodology used to build the dictionary. Its innovative aspect is the exploitation of semantic relations to help translators navigate the language of globalization and labour in different cultures.

Abstract
This review presents Dancette's study on the Analytical Dictionary of Globalization and Labour (DAMT) developed by CRIMT in English, Spanish and French. It comprises 6000 terms, with attention to the world of professional translators in the domain of globalization. The widespread use of English shows how direct loan words have become part of a shared language of globalization, but the rapid development of practices results in a high terminological creativity that translators are expected to be familiar with. Part of the discussion is dedicated to translation pitfalls, and to the methodology used to build the dictionary. Its innovative aspect is the exploitation of semantic relations to help translators navigate the language of globalization and labour in different cultures.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
