The studies that analyzed the emerging adults’ financial well-being mainly verified individual predictors’ effect. The current study investigates if, beyond the individual predictors (i.e. transitional pathways), the relational predictors related to family of origin also influence child’s financial well-being. Data collected from 237 youth (students/workers/studentworkers) suggest that: 1) family emotional and economic resources affect the emerging adult’s financial well-being; 2) only economic resources influence the financial assistance that parents give to their child, but this assistance does not affect the financial well-being; 3) the predictors differently explain the financial well-being for the three considered groups.
