I servi padroni. La tirannia degli oggetti nella civiltà tecnologica: un percorso attraverso la modernità letteraria

Through specimens and emblematic texts, this essay is a sort of journey through modern literature, fron Manzoni and Leopardi to the more recent texts, showing how the nature, features and role of objects have changed over time, how an object-poor world has turned into a world overflowing with objects, how our relationship with objects has changed so much that it has also created new behaviours and anthropological changes.

Procedendo per campioni e testi emblematici, si disegna un percorso attraverso la modernità letteraria, da Manzoni e Leopardi fino agli esiti più recenti, che mostra come siano mutate, nel tempo, la natura, le caratteristiche e la funzione degli oggetti, come si sia passati da un mondo povero di oggetti a un mondo straripante di oggetti, come, infine, si sia andato modificando il nostro rapporto con gli oggetti, fino a produrre nuovi comportamenti e trasformazioni antropologiche.
