The preliminary results of a research concerning changes in the sexual behaviour in patients with epilepsy are presented. These changes have been postulated several times in the past, but never proved. Interesting results were obtained using an inventory for the investigation of changes of the sexual behaviour in a population with right and left TLE. In patients with right-sited epileptic focus, sexual interest and activity resulted to be more impaired in comparison with the patients with left-sited focus both in males and in females. In patients with left temporal focus, especially in males, interindividual relationships were mostly disturbed with serious consequence for a satisfying sexual life.

Abstract
The preliminary results of a research concerning changes in the sexual behaviour in patients with epilepsy are presented. These changes have been postulated several times in the past, but never proved. Interesting results were obtained using an inventory for the investigation of changes of the sexual behaviour in a population with right and left TLE. In patients with right-sited epileptic focus, sexual interest and activity resulted to be more impaired in comparison with the patients with left-sited focus both in males and in females. In patients with left temporal focus, especially in males, interindividual relationships were mostly disturbed with serious consequence for a satisfying sexual life.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
