In this paper we, describe how artefacts contribute to the coordination of home care services. We report from our ongoing fieldwork at a home care service provider in a City District of Oslo. From the narrative of a typical day in the home care service, we identify and discuss three aspects: 1) the role of an assemblage of artefacts, rather than single objects, 2) how practitioners cope with artefacts that have a more or less permanent shortcomings and 3) the direct (boundary object) and indirect (shadow object) roles of budgets in coordinating home care practices.

Abstract
In this paper we, describe how artefacts contribute to the coordination of home care services. We report from our ongoing fieldwork at a home care service provider in a City District of Oslo. From the narrative of a typical day in the home care service, we identify and discuss three aspects: 1) the role of an assemblage of artefacts, rather than single objects, 2) how practitioners cope with artefacts that have a more or less permanent shortcomings and 3) the direct (boundary object) and indirect (shadow object) roles of budgets in coordinating home care practices.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
