In the society of uncertainty, selfish and competitive, emotions like anxiety and fear of inferiority prevail. Media emphasize a narcissistic syndrome, which is likely to enslaving all of us (and especially the younger ones) in a ephemeral and illusory worship of the self. Emotions, in this context, become showpieces or bargaining chips; our entire emotional life is reduced to self-expression and loses its self-transcendence. A different perspective is proposed here, rooted in phenomenology, which claims that affectivity allows us to grasp the axiological dimension of reality. From this point of view, education to right feeling can be an antidote.

Abstract
In the society of uncertainty, selfish and competitive, emotions like anxiety and fear of inferiority prevail. Media emphasize a narcissistic syndrome, which is likely to enslaving all of us (and especially the younger ones) in a ephemeral and illusory worship of the self. Emotions, in this context, become showpieces or bargaining chips; our entire emotional life is reduced to self-expression and loses its self-transcendence. A different perspective is proposed here, rooted in phenomenology, which claims that affectivity allows us to grasp the axiological dimension of reality. From this point of view, education to right feeling can be an antidote.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
