This article investigates the work on Dante carried out by Ettore Cozzani (1884-1971), looking at three distinct aspects: the unpublished marginal notes in two Dante biographies; the lecturae Dantis and the conference papers kept in the archives of the Istituto Lombardo in Milan; the relationship with Pascoli’s writings on Dante, a subject to which Cozzani devoted a book published in 1939, Pascoli.
