The increasing rate of divorce has significantly changed the Italian family in the last decades. Consequently new social services and institutional answers are now needed to support families. In this direction some important services are relevant that may help marital couple through separation and support familiar generativity. This study shows the results of a qualitative research. It considers ten marital couples getting into divorce: five couples are supported by familiar mediation, the others are guided by a technical advice suggested by the judge. The purpose is to find differences about intergeneration generativity processes, in both couples, and to pick out the crucial elements that separate the generativity processes from the de-generativity one. In this research clinical interview has been used through narrative, projective prompts and graphical joined works. The symbolic relational model is represented by three dimensions: the family origin, the couple agreement and the intergenerational transition. The articulation of these three dimensions lead to the description of familiar generativity style.
