La cura familiare degli anziani. Uno studio longitudinale del processo di caregiving

The research described in this paper addresses, according to a multidimensional and longitudinal analysis of the process of caregiving in families with elderly patients, taking into account all the family relationships and network in which they are the elderly and who cares. The multidimensional approach is necessary to grasp the complexity of the phenomenon and is consistent with the specificity of the psychosocial point of view mentioned above. The longitudinal character, ie the monitoring prolonged and repeated over time through a two measure-ment of variables taken into consideration, the survey gives an aspect de-cisamente innovative, useful for testing in the course of time the evolution of the relationship between the conditions the patient and the effects on the caregiver from caring work. This has resulted, in fact, the realization of two-faded investigations, partly different in both instrumentation and in the analysis criteria, but designed from the start together, in fact a logical coherent and integrated.
