Invention and reinvention of well-being places. The new «Terme di Milano» and the rebirth of San Pellegrino After a few brief observations on wellness centers and thermalism in Lombardy, the authors consider two well-being places: the new «Terme di Milano» in the Lombard capital, and San Pellegrino, in Val Brembana (Bergamo). The first structure is part of one of the many cases of wellness centers created ex novo by «QC Terme» in Italy. San Pellegrino is instead an example of the reinvention of a famous tourist-thermal place. The start of its relaunch, oriented towards wellness and integrated tourism, is linked to an agreement between public and private subjects, which provides for the creation of an organic set of interventions.
