Viktor Frankl's intuitions about the "will to meaning" as the fundamental motivational drive in human existence contain some important pedagogical implications that, if furtherly developed, could provide a revolutionary paradigm in education. Particularly, Frankl's statement that the education should move from "transmitting knowledge" to "refining conscience" represent the key point for a renewed idea of school and curriculum, whose center is the person and his/her intentional relationship to the world, and his/her search for meaning becomes the heuristic principle of learning and educational experience.

Abstract
Viktor Frankl's intuitions about the "will to meaning" as the fundamental motivational drive in human existence contain some important pedagogical implications that, if furtherly developed, could provide a revolutionary paradigm in education. Particularly, Frankl's statement that the education should move from "transmitting knowledge" to "refining conscience" represent the key point for a renewed idea of school and curriculum, whose center is the person and his/her intentional relationship to the world, and his/her search for meaning becomes the heuristic principle of learning and educational experience.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
