Tra regno e impero: la memoria benedettina nel monastero di Leno

Founded by the Lombard king Desiderio, the male monastery of Brescia dedicated to St. Benedict, of which it preserves a precious relic, strong link, from the origins,with the the abbey of Montecassino. The monastery is analyzed in its medieval developments up to the commandery in the fifteenth century , in the assets endowment, in the jurisdictional prerogatives and in the papal and imperial privileges.

Fondato dal re longobardo Desiderio, su beni familiari e fiscali, il monastero bresciano maschile dedicato a san Benedetto, di cui conserva una preziosa reliquia e è legato sin dalle origini all’abbazia di Montecassino, viene indagato nei suoi sviluppi medievali fino alla commenda nel XV secolo, nella dotazione patrimoniale, nelle prerogative giurisdizionali e nei privilegi papali e imperiali goduti.
