Barilli's war correspondences (1912-1915) were re-proposed in 1946 by Enrico Falqui with heavy cuts and changes, if we compare them to the original text. The article examines the typologies, both quantitative and qualitative, of these interventions, which go in the direction, led by Falqui, of a "liberation" of the text from its context: a direction that aims to a memorial purification of the past war.
