Only few sources for the history of the library of Santa Maria delle Grazie in the XV century survive: a medieval inventory, which could give a picture of the manuscripts and books kept there, is lacking. Anyway, some marginal notes of the manuscripts allow to identify few volumes belonging to Santa Maria delle Grazie. The situation of the library of Santa Maria delle Grazie can be compared to Sant’Eustorgio’s one, even if the last preserves an inventory of the late XVth century. Few charters mention some generous donors of the library of Santa Maria delle Grazie, such as the humanist Giorgio Valagussa of Brescia and Battistina da Camogli, Pier Candido Decembrio’s widow, who ordered to let in inheritance to the Dominican convent the books which preserved the works written by her husband.

Abstract
Only few sources for the history of the library of Santa Maria delle Grazie in the XV century survive: a medieval inventory, which could give a picture of the manuscripts and books kept there, is lacking. Anyway, some marginal notes of the manuscripts allow to identify few volumes belonging to Santa Maria delle Grazie. The situation of the library of Santa Maria delle Grazie can be compared to Sant’Eustorgio’s one, even if the last preserves an inventory of the late XVth century. Few charters mention some generous donors of the library of Santa Maria delle Grazie, such as the humanist Giorgio Valagussa of Brescia and Battistina da Camogli, Pier Candido Decembrio’s widow, who ordered to let in inheritance to the Dominican convent the books which preserved the works written by her husband.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
