The paper introduces the special section "ICT and SChooling. Sociological issues in education 2.0. it deals with the main contents of the issue: what is new in digitalization today within the education practices; values and disvalues connected with ICT use and diffusion; process of inclusion and democratization via ICt in schooling, VET and university teaching.
