The article analyzes the installations by Gianikian and Ricci Lucchi moving from an intermedial and media archaeological background, claiming not only that the production by the artists conceived for the gallery space are to be seen in continuity as regards to their filmography, but that these corpus of recent artworks speak to the urge to spatialize the filmic image within a physical, practical, phenomenological environment.
