In Italy many things have been changed over the last 40 years about special education. Inside the school system is very easy to find different situations due to diversity of the teachers’ attitude towards inclusion. The big change, happened in the 70’s, was opening the school doors to every child and allowing them to attend regular classroom, introducing an specialised teacher. The skills this specialised teacher needs to have are many and all connected to his training and education.
