The important early Christian epigraphic patrimony found in Como and its territory gives the opportunity to recognize some significant social aspects. A particular attention is given to evidences referable to persons of senatorial rank, attested from the 4th century to the Goth period, that suggest a social élite residing in town that was probably able to influence positively the local reality.
