Il potenziale religioso del bambino

The article approaches the topic of children's religious potential from two angles. On the one hand, it refers to the religious potential thet arises from the parent's relationship with the child. Expectancy and birth, and the educational relationship they give rise to, make the parents see their limitations and potentially open them up to religious dimension of life. On the other hand, the religious potential of the child refers to the potential which the chil carries within itself and which is waiting to show itself in the process of growing up. every child needs to find a family and a community to help him/her to give meaning to their experience. The family is the real place where education to faith can take place. The relationships that develop within the home provide the specific vocabulary through which the early stage of childhood can express itself.

L'articolo affronta il tema del potenziale religioso del bambino da due punti di vista. Da un lato si fa riferimento al potenziale religioso che scaturisce dalla relazione dei genitori con il bambino. L'attesa, la nascita e la relazione educativa che da essa scaturisce pongono i genitori di fronte alla loro finitudine e potenzialmente dischiudono ad una dimensione religiosa della vita. Dall'altro lato il potenziale religioso del bambino si riferisce alla potenzialità religiosa che il bambino porta dentro di sé e che attende di potersi manifestare nel percorso di crescita. Ogni bambino ha bisogno di trovare una famiglia e una comunità in grado di dare significato alla propria esperienza. La famiglia è il luogo concreto in cui può avvenire l'educazione alla fede. Le relazioni che prendono forma nell'ambito domestico rappresentano il vocabiolario concreto con cui può dirsi l'annuncio nei primi anni di vita del bambino.
