The article aims to present an outline of a theoretical comparison between the philosophy of Kierkegaard and the one of the latest Schelling. After a brief historical introduction about the circumstances that brought Kierkegaard to travel to Berlin (October 1841.March 1842) in order to personally follow the development of Schelling’s latest philosophy as particularly expressed in the lectures on the “Philosophy of Revelation”, the article focuses on the relationship between Consciousness and Revelation in Kierkegaard’s first chapter of “Philosophical Fragments” and Schelling’s lecture IX of “Philosophy of Revelation”. However, if in both works it is possible to see how revelation constitutes a particular relationship between human consciousness and God (the so-called “condition” to receive Revelation), the truth is that a close analysis of the texts shows how the theoretical premises of Kierkegaard and Schelling are almost opposite
