We used a cross sectional methodology to assess associations between use of violent videogames, parental monitoring and level of aggression. 348 adolescents 13-17 years old, were administered: adhoc questionnaire of videogame use; Youth Self Report; Monitoring Scale. Almost half of the 193 participants use videogames that are inappropriate for their age. Parental monitoring is negatively associated with the amount of videogame use. The amount of violence in the videogame predicts antisocial behavior.
