Capitale sociale e ambiente amichevole: quali risorse per le famiglie con figli (0-13)

In this paper, I present analytically some findings from the Survey "Aspects of daily life", conducted by ISTAT in 2012, which included a section dedicated specifically to families with children aged 0 to 13 years (3˙745 families). Theoretically, the study refers to social capital, a key concept in relational sociology. Social capital is understood as the set of cooperative and trust-worthy relationships promoted by the families for their own wellbeing. Social capital may be present to different degrees depending on a number of variables that refer to both the structural level (resources and constraints) and the referential level (values and goals of wellbeing). In this work, through a number of multivariate analyses, I present the analytical framework for the characteristics of the Italian families in different areas of life, which may be more or less friendly toward the needs of the families with respect to social capital.

Nel presente contributo, viene presentata una analisi dei risultati, dell’Indagine “Aspetti della vita quotidiana”, condotta dall’ISTAT nel corso 2012, che ha previsto una sezione specificamente riservata alle famiglie con figli da 0 a 13 anni (3745 nuclei). Al fuoco è posto un concetto chiave della Sociologia Relazionale: il capitale sociale. Quest’ultimo è inteso come l’insieme di relazioni fiduciarie e cooperative che le famiglie promuovono per il proprio benessere e che può essere presente in differente misura a seconda di una serie di variabili che fanno riferimento sia al livello strutturale (vincoli e risorse) sia al livello referenziale (valori e obiettivi di benessere). In questo lavoro, condotto attraverso analisi multivariate, si presenta un quadro analitico di come si connotano le famiglie italiane, nei differenti ambienti di vita, più o meno amichevoli verso le esigenze familiari, rispetto alla dotazione di capitale sociale
