The essay is the written version of the report given by the author at the Conference of Florence of 13 June 2014 devoted to the presentation of the book edited by Marcello Pedrazzoli: Le discipline dei licenziamenti in Europa, 2013, Franco Angeli Publishing. The author comments on the contribution of the volume which analyses the German legislation on dismissals, by making some critical remarks on the Fornero's Reform of Italian dismissal legislation in the light of the German experience.
Il saggio riprende la relazione al Convegno fiorentino del 13 giugno 2014 di presentazione del libro curato da Marcello Pedrazzoli per i tipi di Franco Angeli, Le discipline dei licenziamenti in Europa, del 2013. Nell'intervento l'autore si sofferma sul contributo del volume dedicato alla disciplina dei licenziamenti in Germania, svolgendo considerazioni sulla recente riforma Fornero dell'articolo 18 dello statuto dei lavoratori alla luce dell'esperienza tedesca.
