The contribution examines the printed publication history, from the fifteenth to the sixteenth centuries, of Le battaglie che fece la regina Antea, a short poem derived from Pulci’s Morgante (it is in fact an autonomous version of the whole of canto XXIV from the longer poem) beginning with the supposed editio princeps, entitled Falabacchio e Cattabriga giganti, printed in Florence in the fifteenth century but lacking the printer’s name and date of printing. Special attention is given to the last sixteenth-century edition of the work to appear (Brescia, Damiano Turlini, 1549). No copies of this had appeared to survive but two have recently been identified in the antiquarian book trade. The types and woodcuts used in this edition and its connections with the contemporary publication of chivalric literature in Brescia are analysed.

Abstract
The types and woodcuts used in this edition and its connections with the contemporary publication of chivalric literature in Brescia are analysed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
