NOTE SU ZANZOTTO LETTORE FRANCESE. CON UN'INTERVISTA INEDITA

The present essay is an introduction to the connections between Andrea Zanzotto and French language and literature through a survey of the poet’s readings, essays and translations, right across the period from the thirties to the late nineties. It provides an analysis of the poet’s reviews of the literature on the other side of the Alps - Éluard, Michaux, Artaud, Leiris, Tardieu, Deguy – by linking them with the whole of his critical and self-exegetical work. The appendix contains the transcript of a 2003 interview of mine with Zanzotto.

Il contributo introduce ai rapporti di Andrea Zanzotto con la lingua e la letteratura francese attraverso una mappa delle letture, dei saggi e delle traduzioni del poeta, dispiegati tra gli anni trenta e la fine degli anni novanta. Fornisce un’analisi dei contributi critici che il poeta ha dedicato alla letteratura d’Oltralpe – Éluard, Michaux, Artaud, Leiris, Tardieu, Deguy – ponendoli in rapporto con l’insieme del corpus critico e auto-esegetico. Segue in appendice un’intervista inedita che nel 2003 il poeta ha concesso all’autrice intorno ai propri rapporti con la cultura francese.
