Abstract
The relationship between widespread fears (especially of criminality) in contemporary societies and some core features of "modernity" is outlined. The urge to reach one's goal is stronger than the interest in truth and the constant need of assurance encourages the replacement with guilt for truth. Literature is meant an aid to convey the circular view of justice instead of the linear one of expediency, which, instead of providing real safety, deepens the feeling of fear and the need of scapegoats.File in questo prodotto:
