The main purpose of the paper is to test the degree of empirical support of these two main approaches dealing with vertical coordination: RCA vs. TCA. Therefore, our model addresses the degree to which each of these perspectives explains governance forms through a set of predictions declined from the main conceptual and empirical literature.
