La fortuna di André Frénaud (1903-1997) in Italia. Appunti sulle corrispondenze inedite conservate presso la Bibliothèque Littéraire Jacques Doucet di Parigi.

This article was first conceived upon discovering a collection of unpublished correspondence between the French poet André Frénaud (1903-1997) and some of the main twentieth-century Italian poets, critics, essayists and publishers in the years from 1946 to the mid-eighties. Following an introductory outline of Frénaud’s life and poetics, the essay provides a sketch of his fortune in Italy. Thereupon follows a description of the letters themselves, with an analysis of a number of them written by poets of the Milan area (Fortini, Vittorini, Montale, Sereni, Solmi, Erba, Risi): what emerges are friendly relationships, book exchanges and reviews, as well as shared publication projects, particularly intense during the fifties.

Il contributo nasce dalla scoperta di un fondo di carteggi inediti scambiati tra il poeta francese André Frénaud (1903-1997) e alcuni tra i maggiori poeti, editori e critici italiani, dal dopoguerra agli anni ottanta. Dopo una presentazione della biografia e della poetica, l'autrice tratteggia la fortuna dell'autore in italia. Segue una descrizione dei carteggi, con lettere di Vittorini, Fortini, Montale, Sereni, Solmi, Erba, Risi, ove emergono relazioni d'affetto, scambi di libri, progetti editoriali comuni.
