Mindfulness-based interventions (MBI) proved to be effective improving the psychological well-being in many chronic diseases. So far, no study has yet investigated the effect of a MBI within a population of people with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. We are conducting a Randomized Clinical Trial to evaluate the efficacy of this protocol to improve the psychological well-being of both ALS patients and caregivers. Preliminary results will be presented at the meeting.

Abstract

Mindfulness-based interventions (MBI) proved to be effective improving the psychological well-being in many chronic diseases. So far, no study has yet investigated the effect of a MBI within a population of people with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. We are conducting a Randomized Clinical Trial to evaluate the efficacy of this protocol to improve the psychological well-being of both ALS patients and caregivers. Preliminary results will be presented at the meeting.
