The ethical dilemma, if adopting abandoned human embryos would be morally legitimate, is analyzed within perspectives whose premises admit the personal status of the human embryio and judge negatively extracorporeal reproductive techniques. The aim is to verify the internal consistency between these premises and the argument according to which embryos could be adopted, using as reference two possible interpretative models: the model that considers life as an absolute value and the model that considers life as a fundamental value.

Abstract
The ethical dilemma, if adopting abandoned human embryos would be morally legitimate, is analyzed within perspectives whose premises admit the personal status of the human embryio and judge negatively extracorporeal reproductive techniques. The aim is to verify the internal consistency between these premises and the argument according to which embryos could be adopted, using as reference two possible interpretative models: the model that considers life as an absolute value and the model that considers life as a fundamental value.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
