Hyperleptinemia is relatively frequent in chronic hemodialysis patients (HDP) and is associated with rsitance at the brain level with consequent reduced level of leptin in the brain. It remains to be defined if this reduced of brain leptin levels in HDP is associated with reduced cognition.
