Contributo alla cronotassi degli abati cassinesi di S. Colombano di Bobbio (1453-1802)

Comparing some lists of abbots (one from a 18th century handwritten document, the others published by Benedetto Felice Rossetti and Carlo Cipolla) with some, mostly serial sources more recently discovered by scolarship, strong evidence shows that large discrepancy often existed, in those monasteries that were gradually losing importance during the early modern age, between people officially appointed to the post of abbot and monks charged of real leadership in those communities.
