The current review examines the links between unresolved trauma, anomalous parental behavior, and disorganized attachment relationships. For this purpose, the work introduces the theoretical explanations about these relations and the empirical data on this topic. In relation to the theoretical framework, the review describes the unresolved states of mind, the anomalous parental behaviour and explains the etiological role of these caregiving systems in the development of disorganized attachment.
