Starting from the crisis and anthropological emergency experienced by contemporary man, the article shows the importance of an education to interiority to trace the deep reasons of human nature. Among these there is the attention to interiority that the person develops since early age and even in the later phases. Philosophy and pedagogy contain many references to the theme of interiority, but you need “to broaden the horizons of rationality” to other areas of expression: the reasons of the heart, the focus on a form of the original sensibility in connection with the thought, the knowledge of themselves and the attention to the word in education. The educational language, as that of poetry, is a language of interiority and the task of the educator is to make sure that education moves from inside to overcome the widespread exteriority in our time.

Il contributo prende in esame le istanze interiori che la persona viene sviluppando a partire dalle fasi iniziali della propria esistenza. Al fine di promuovere un’educazione dell’interiorità si sottolinea come sia sempre più necessario “allargare gli orizzonti della razionalità” verso altri ambiti di espressione: dalle ragioni del cuore, ad una forma di sentire originario in connessione con il pensiero e l'attenzione per la parola in educazione.
