Les registres dans le théâtre de Saint-Georges de Bouhélier de la fin du XIXe siècle aux années 1920

The paper aims at analyzing the evolution of linguistic registers in the theatre of Saint-Georges de Bouhélier, between the end of the 19th century and the 1920s’. The corpus includes ten theatre plays, organized in three cycles: the naturist cycle - La Tragédie du nouveau Christ, Le Roi sans couronne, La Tragédie royale and Les Esclaves -, the modern cycle - Le Carnaval des enfants, La Féerie amoureuse, La Vie d’une femme and Les Flambeaux de la noce -, and the historical one - Œdipe, roi de Thèbes and La célèbre histoire. The paper shows how at the beginning Saint-Georges de Bouhélier employs the diastratic variation, later abandoning it in favor of the diaphasic one.

In questo articolo intendiamo studiare l’evoluzione dei registri linguistici nel teatro di Saint-Georges de Bouhélier tra la fine del XIX secolo e gli anni ’20. Il corpus è costituito da dieci opere teatrali che suddividiamo in tre cicli: il ciclo naturista - La Tragédie du nouveau Christ, Le Roi sans couronne, La Tragédie royale e Les Esclaves - , il ciclo moderno – Le Carnaval des enfants, La Féerie amoureuse, La Vie d’une femme e Les Flambeaux de la noce - e quello storico - Œdipe, roi de Thèbes e La célèbre histoire -. Inizialmente Bouhélier sfrutta la variazione diastratica che abbandonerà gradualmente a vantaggio di quella diafasica.
