Le Naturisme au théâtre

After a brief historical overview of the Naturist movement from its origin and literary début, we focus on the first Naturist play, La Victoire by Saint-Georges de Bouhélier. We then illustrate how this play and other four of his Naturist plays reveal both Naturalist and Symbolist influences with respect to the choice of the topics, the settings and characters, and the presence of mystery and fatality.

Dopo una presentazione storica del Naturisme e delle sue idee, prendiamo in considerazione la prima pièce naturista, La Victoire di Saint-Georges de Bouhélier, mai pubblicata, e altre quattro pièces dello stesso autore che mostrano un’influenza del Naturalismo a livello delle scelte tematiche, delle ambientazioni e dei personaggi, e quella del Simbolismo per lo spazio dato al mistero e alla fatalità.
