The article gives a pedagogical reading of the thought of M. Nédoncelle, starting with the debate that was inherent in the notion of the person, with strict reference to the relevant problems of the post-modern condition. This is a precise presentation of the peculiarity of Nédoncelle's ontology, and it gives us valuable pedagogical points about the speculative methodology adopted by the author and about the questions in debate. It is an invitation to recover the dynamic and relational value of being starting from the basis of Nédoncelle's thought, i.e. love as fundamental and founding dimension of the human being.
