In the age of pluralism and complexity, education must face first of all a philosophical and anthropological challenge: to think and promote the real essence of human beings in every context and situation where they live. Despite scientific progress and the decline of ideology, the idea of what means being (or becoming) a "person" is less clear and shared than before. That's the reason why philosophical and anthropological grounds of education must be re-discussed nowadays. Phenomenological tradition provides a systematic analysis of the ontological structure of the person (by clarifying what "human" is and aims to be) and, at the same time, an epistemological and ethical orientation for educational practice and care.

Abstract
In the age of pluralism and complexity, education must face first of all a philosophical and anthropological challenge: to think and promote the real essence of human beings in every context and situation where they live. Despite scientific progress and the decline of ideology, the idea of what means being (or becoming) a "person" is less clear and shared than before. That's the reason why philosophical and anthropological grounds of education must be re-discussed nowadays. Phenomenological tradition provides a systematic analysis of the ontological structure of the person (by clarifying what "human" is and aims to be) and, at the same time, an epistemological and ethical orientation for educational practice and care.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
