This essay outlines the key stages in the history of the bibliography of Leonardo Sciascia’s works. Since the late 1990s, several attempts have been made to catalogue the writer’s vast and varied body of work, which is scattered across various publishers and can be difficult to track down. Sciascia’s generosity in disseminating his own works makes this undertaking particularly challenging. However, a number of significant advances over the last fifteen years, together with the prospect of creating a digital database on Todomodo.net, have laid the groundwork for a comprehensive bibliographic catalogue of the writer’s work: a Bibliotheca Sciasciana integrated with the other tools available on the portal.
