The contribution presents a reflection on the use of the Most Significant Change (MSC) technique in the impact evaluation of projects aimed at tackling educational poverty. As a qualitative and participatory technique, MSC makes it possible to collect and analyse narratives of change produced by the different actors involved in the projects, highlighting transformative dimensions that are difficult to capture through standardized tools. The contribution illustrates the application of MSC within the impact evaluation of the Re-Start project, focusing on the processes of collecting, selecting, and interpreting the stories and on stakeholder involvement in the evaluation process. The experience highlights the potential of the technique to bring to light significant, expected and unexpected changes and to promote processes of reflection and learning among the actors involved, while also identifying some methodological and operational challenges associated with its use.

Abstract
The experience highlights the potential of the technique to bring to light significant, expected and unexpected changes and to promote processes of reflection and learning among the actors involved, while also identifying some methodological and operational challenges associated with its use.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
