The numerous documentations collected from Hebrew dictionaries do not confirm the possible choice of "šuppîm" (1Chr 7:12), rendered by "erasures", of "muppîm" (Gen 46:12),by "defects", and of "ḥuppîm" (1Chr 7:12),by "fractures", by a copyist which worked in late age to justify difficult reading of manuscript at his disposal. Also the lexicons of post-biblical Hebrew and Aramaic - excepting "šuppîm" - do not give certain elements for a such interpretation. So, those 3 words are re-confirmed as proper nouns, in accordance with the traditional interpretation, attested by criticals too, and present also in all examined Ancient Versions.

Abstract
The numerous documentations collected from Hebrew dictionaries do not confirm the possible choice of "šuppîm" (1Chr 7:12), rendered by "erasures", of "muppîm" (Gen 46:12),by "defects", and of "ḥuppîm" (1Chr 7:12),by "fractures", by a copyist which worked in late age to justify difficult reading of manuscript at his disposal. Also the lexicons of post-biblical Hebrew and Aramaic - excepting "šuppîm" - do not give certain elements for a such interpretation. So, those 3 words are re-confirmed as proper nouns, in accordance with the traditional interpretation, attested by criticals too, and present also in all examined Ancient Versions.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
