The evaluation of cooperation initiatives plays a key role in the project cycle, both to ensure the efficient management of development resources and to foster self-reflective processes among stakeholders, aimed at designing actions tailored to the target groups. This contribution seeks to explore the main issues emerged during a roundtable discussion held on 21 March 2025 at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, which focused on the opportunities and challenges of evaluation in the development cooperation. The event brought together professionals from the sector and reaffirmed the importance of cultivating dialogue and collaboration between academics and practitioners on the field.
La valutazione delle iniziative di cooperazione possiede un ruolo centrale nel ciclo di progetto sia per consentire una gestione efficiente delle risorse destinate allo sviluppo sia per favorire processi di autoriflessione tra gli stakeholder, che portino a elaborare azioni adeguate ai target di riferimento. Il presente contributo si propone di approfondire alcuni nodi salienti emersi nel corso di una tavola rotonda, tenutasi il 21 marzo 2025 presso l’Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, dedicata alle opportunità e alle sfide della valutazione nella cooperazione. L’evento ha coinvolto professionisti del settore e ha confermato il valore di coltivare dialogo e collaborazioni tra accademici e operatori sul campo.
