This paper examines the epistemological implications of the intersection between medicine and pedagogy in the field of mental health. Through a theoretical reflection on the categorical paradigm inherited from clinical medicine and radicalized by the frequentist-NHST statistical model, the paper argues for its partial inadequacy. Bayesian statistics are then proposed as an epistemological reconceptualization and a meeting point between medicine and pedagogy, with reference to a case study.

Abstract
This paper examines the epistemological implications of the intersection between medicine and pedagogy in the field of mental health. Through a theoretical reflection on the categorical paradigm inherited from clinical medicine and radicalized by the frequentist-NHST statistical model, the paper argues for its partial inadequacy. Bayesian statistics are then proposed as an epistemological reconceptualization and a meeting point between medicine and pedagogy, with reference to a case study.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
