Features of the Middle and Late Bronze Age Settlement between Sesia and Ticino Rivers according to recent research - The ongoing research project, aimed at the verification, normalization and cataloguing of the data available for the Novara area, implemented in a GIS, has systematized the results of the valuable work carried out by Filippo Gambari across thirty years. Thus, the spatial relationships between archaeological information and environmental contexts, with their peculiarities, have been framed in more detail, with the addition of new research and new discoveries. Although still in progress, this paper tries to offer a synthesis of the results of this project, focusing on the Middle and Recent Bronze Age phases. It aims to bring out the relationship that regulates the geomorphological structure and the environmental frameworks characterized by the presence of a complex water network. The territory of interest lays between the Agogna and Terdoppio streams. For the plain in particular, until now considered less significant, the new data offers convincing clues of the activation of a settlement system linked to the advanced management of the territory, at least from an early phase of the Middle Bronze Age; the creation of complex apparatuses for the exploitation of resources shows a parallel with what has recently been highlighted for the eastern Po Valley.
