The editorial (of the special issue) consists of three parts. First of all, we shall provide a short overview of the key concepts and ideas which are found in social scientists’ debates regarding the so called “problem of generations”. The second part of the editorial will introduce the main dimensions of these debates which have been used as the basis of the papers published in this special issue. In the third part of the editorial, we shall provide short descriptions of each paper for the special issue.
