Comic fascism. Ideology, Catholicism, and Americanism in Italian children’s periodicals, Journal of Modern Italian Studies

Zane Elward’s volume investigates the circulation of comics in Italian periodicals for young readers during the first half of the twentieth century, offering a nuanced reconstruction that also invites comparison with the American context.
