As societies age, the need for innovative approaches to aging becomes critical. This study focuses on Italy, where a rapidly aging population re-veals opportunities for rethinking aging as a phase of active engagement. It examines the role of education and lifelong learning in empowering older adults to maintain active societal roles and foster intergenerational soli-darity. Through the “Promising Practices for Education and Active Aging” questionnaire, the research highlights successful initiatives that enhance skills, confidence, and community involvement. These programs promote individual well-being, challenge stereotypes, and strengthen social cohe-sion. The study provides a framework for policymakers and educators to harness the potential of older adults, advocating for an inclusive and re-silient future.
