Education implies choices, choices imply judges, and judges imply values. Axiology is therefore an indispensable part of philosophy of education. In Antonio Bellingreri's research of the foundation of education, theoretical phenomenology appears as an opportunity to reach a grounded basis for the education of the person. This contribution tries to develop its consequences.
