In this note, we present some results on maximality of the difference of two monotone operators. It is shown that, for two multifunctions S and T from X to X *, maximal monotonicity of S and monotonicity of both T and S-T imply maximal monotonicity of S-T. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

Abstract
